Bloom Synth Analogue Lite is a sample-based instrument built from chords, leads, basses, arps, and phrases sampled from vintage synthesizers. The main goal here is to give you warm analog-style synth sounds that sync to your DAW tempo and stay in key with your project.
Also, no warming up the oscillators or collecting dust (virtual dust is a different thing).
You get 75 presets across seven categories, including basslines, experimental sounds, full arrangements, high-energy patches, low-energy patches, melodic sounds, and rhythmic sequences.
The Lite version includes 56 samples across four sample banks, 14 sample keys, five factory modifiers, five custom modifiers, and four macro controls called Tube, Age, Circuit, and Expand. It also has delay, reverb, modulation, low-cut, and high-cut controls.
Of course, it’s no surprise that the Lite edition is missing some of the deeper tools from the full Bloom Synth Analogue plugin. You don’t get sample import, the full sequencer section, modulation curves, sample editing parameters, randomizing sequences, or the larger 250-preset and 112-sample library.
Still, for $3, this is a pretty nice way to get another Bloom instrument into your plugin folder, especially if you like quick analog-flavored song starters and don’t need the deeper editing features.
Because this is a paid Plugin Boutique purchase, it should also qualify for the August no-minimum-spend gift, Bitwig Studio 8-Track. If you spend more, the higher-tier gifts are Baby Audio TAIP with a $49 minimum spend, and Serato Hex FX or Melodyne 5 Essential with a $99 minimum spend.
Bloom Synth Analogue Lite runs on macOS 10.15 or higher and Windows 7 or higher. The macOS version comes in VST, VST3, AU, AAX, and standalone formats, while the Windows version supports VST, VST3, AAX, and standalone. An internet connection is required for authorization.
