Fat Joe has an obsession with a popular diet soda.
On the July 22 episode of podcast Joe and Jada, with special guests N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN, Joe described the friendly competition between his and Jadakiss‘ show and N.O.R.E. and EFN’s podcast Drink Champs.
After asking N.O.R.E. if his podcast team was keeping him “healthy,” Joey Crack shared his worries for the Queens native, observing that, due to the nature of his show, he “drinks a lot.” But Joe also admitted that he overindulges on Diet Pepsi, drinking around 40 cans daily.
“I’m not a doctor. I don’t give a fuck. I drink too many Diet Pepsis,” he said. “Very, very much. I got a problem. Thirty to forty a day.”

The “Lean Back” artist added that if he goes to the doctor and they tell him he has a “problem” that he’ll “take the shit on the chin.”
“I got to just be like, ‘I knew I was just doing too much with them Diet Pepsis,” he added.
But once leaving this hypothetical doctor’s office, Joe said that he would “immediately” have another Diet Pepsi.
“They’re not stopping me,” he continued. “I was in jail with a thousand Diet Pepsis.”
This is not the first time Joe has talked about his love of diet soda. In a 2023 list of “What Fat Joe Can’t Live Without,” he phrased his addiction in the past tense.
“I used to be really addicted to diet soda, especially Diet Pepsi,” he said. “I’d drink maybe 20 a day.”
Back in 2020, Joe was singing a different tune when it came to which diet soda he prefers. He told GQ that his indispensable drink was Diet Coke, not Diet Pepsi.
“I go through a lot of these a day,” he explained.
