What is The Bootcamp?
The pointblank bootcamp provides the ideal environment for students to fully immerse themselves in their craft, surrounded by like-minded creatives and experienced industry mentors.
During the bootcamp, students can disconnect from everyday distractions and focus entirely on the songwriting process. Working in groups, they explore new rhythms, ideas, and approaches; often stepping outside of their usual creative comfort zones.
“You kind of get out of your head a lot more,” explains pointblank student Anu Chaoui. “You generate ideas, but then other people see them from their point of view, change them a little, and it kind of becomes something new.”
This collaborative approach mirrors the real-world songwriting process, where co-writing sessions often lead to chart-topping tracks. By the end of the bootcamp, students leave with a collection of original songs and valuable additions to their professional portfolios. Stepping away from familiar surroundings allows them to gain fresh perspectives and unlock new creative directions.
The Complete Degree Experience
While the bootcamp is a standout feature of our songwriting programme, it’s just one part of a carefully designed degree experience. Throughout the course, students develop core songwriting skills, from lyrical and melodic composition to crafting arrangements that truly connect with listeners.
Alongside the bootcamp, regular guest masterclasses, open mic nights, and performance showcases help you build both your network and confidence as a live artist. Throughout your studies, you’ll develop your artistic identity while advancing your songwriting and vocal techniques. You’ll also gain essential entrepreneurial skills in music business, branding, and self-promotion, empowering you to navigate the creator economy and build a sustainable career. Students can even submit their tracks to pointblank’s own label, pointblank recordings (PBR), gaining real-world industry experience.
