We’re on the cusp of having Doja Cat’s fifth studio album in our hands.
On Sunday (July 21), the Grammy winner announced that her upcoming LP, Vie, whose title translates to ‘life’ in French, is complete after months.
“L’album est complet,” Doja wrote in French on X.
Doja has been prolific in recent months. In addition to dropping songs like “Born Again” featuring LISA and RAYE and “Just Us” with Jack Harlow in March, Doja surprised her Instagram followers with snippets of material from Vie.
Among the unreleased tracks were songs titled “Jealous Type, “Lipstain” and “Cards.”
In a recent V Magazine cover story, Doja revealed that Vie will be “pop-driven.”

“I know that I can make pop music, and pop is just that it’s popular,” she told the publication. “It starts to become a bit of a thing that’s viewed as a sport by people who are just bystanders to it, who enjoy it, but maybe also don’t respect it or what it is, which is just music … They see it as if this is some kind of football for girls and gays.”
Doja added that the album’s concept will be rooted in “love, romance and sex” and that it will be a “discourse in relationships.”
“Really just relationships in general, and relationships with yourself, even,” she continued. “I think right now, you hear a lot of songs about breakups, and a lot of songs about how we’re just kind of sick of men. I have a song like that on this album. But the thing is, there are so many ways to talk about that feeling – like, ugh, men.”
Doja’s fourth album, Scarlet, debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and was succeeded by a expanded version, Scarlet 2 Claude, which featured A$AP Rocky and Teezo Touchdown.
ComplexCon returns to Las Vegas on October 25–26, 2025, with over 300 brands and live performances by Young Thug, YEAT & Friends, Peso Pluma, Central Cee, Ken Carson, and more. Get your tickets now.
