A Doja Cat fan has cleared the air after a meetup with the rapper/singer went a little awry.
Last week, TikToker Pablo Tamayo met the “Say So” artist and gifted her with a shirt he was wearing. Apparently, Doja liked the white tank in the moment but changed her mind in two since-deleted posts on X.
In the TikTok, Pablo and Doja hugged twice before giving each other a kiss on the cheek. The Grammy winner also told Tamaya that he could call her “Ami,” as her first name is Amala.
But on Friday (June 13), Doja referenced the TikTok, purportedly telling Tamayo “don’t touch me and man handle me when you don’t even fuckin know me.” “And he didn’t even know my fuckin name to be touching me and kissing me on my face like that is crazy,” she continued.
In a follow-up post, Doja claimed to have thrown “that musty ass shirt away.”
Tamayo also shaded Doja, mocking her tweet about the “musty” tee and claimed to have thrown away a top from her 2023 Spotify engagement.

Tamayo later posted a TikTok saying that Doja’s post “hurts” and that while he “never claimed to be the biggest fan,” he called her work “amazing.” The model recalled that Doja pointed out his shirt at an event and liked it, with Tamayo inviting her to be the face of his line’s Pride collection.
“I said, ‘Oh, I released this t-shirt, I’d love to give you one,'” Tamayo added. “She said, ‘I want one right now,’ and I said, ‘Oh, I can give this one to you.'”
Tamayo called her “sweet and amazing” but took “full accountability” if he was being “too nice” in the moment. “I’m gay, I would never want to make her feel uncomfortable. She’s so iconic!” he added.
Tamayo added that he didn’t know whether Doja’s reaction was “for publicity,” but the artist was “obviously down” with receiving the shirt.
“Honestly, this just shows me I guess that everyone’s not who they say in person,” he said.
Doja has distanced herself from parasocial fans before and lost a massive amount of Instagram followers in the process.
