Doja Cat has returned to vaping three years after denouncing it.
The rapper-singer, who will soon release her fifth album, Vie, sat down with comedian Caleb Pressley for the August 3 episode of his podcast Sundae Conversation. At the start of the conversation, Pressley immediately pressed the Grammy winner about vaping.
“What’s your favorite thing about sucking your vape?” Pressley asked.
“I don’t suck anything. I don’t know what you’re talking about,” a shocked Doja Cat replied.
“Well, I saw you just blew it out,” Pressley continued. “What’s your favorite thing about blowing your vape?”

“Well, I don’t even do that,” Doja replied.
Pressley then randomly blurted out “popcorn lung,” to which Doja tried to hold in a laugh.
“Uh-huh. Delicious,” Doja joked about the serious lung disease, which can be caused by vaping. “I like it most with Raisinets.”
In 2023, Doja was caught vaping on the Met Gala carpet despite smoking being banned from the event — a rule enforced by former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Doja, who nearly brought her vape onstage while accepting a Grammy in 2022, announced in the same year that she’d quit due to acquiring a tonsil infection. The health issue would cause Doja to drop out of touring with The Weeknd that summer, as it would require her to have tonsil surgery.
Also in the Sundae Conversation episode, Doja and Pressley bantered about the artist’s addiction to the internet, what part of her body she’d prefer to grow a mustache, and the mispronunciation of ‘Satan’ as ‘satin.’
