Dolly Parton is bringing her dazzling rhinestones back to Las Vegas for a limited residency this December, and fans are stoked.
The legendary country singer announced on Monday, June 23, that she will be gracing the stage at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace for six exclusive shows, marking her return to Sin City after a 32-year hiatus. “To say I’m excited would be an understatement,” the 79-year-old icon said in a press release. “I haven’t worked Vegas in years and I’ve always loved singing there.”
She also shared the news in an Instagram post that same day. “Grab your rhinestones, Vegas is calling! ✨ I’m taking over The Colosseum at Caesars Palace with Dolly: Live in Las Vegas, a limited-run engagement from December 4-13. Tickets go on sale this Wednesday, June 25th at 10 am PT,” she wrote in the caption. The photo accompanying was a promotional image which featured Parton in a gold jumpsuit holding her guitar on stage.
“There goes my 401K,” one commenter quipped.

Another begged, “Listen, you need to give us more notice than two days so we can get our financial affairs in order! 😭😭”
A third joked, “There appears to be a missed opportunity to call this the Dollosseum.”
Dolly: Live in Las Vegas will take place on December 4, 6, 7, 10, 12, and 13, during the National Finals Rodeo. Fans can expect a mix of Parton’s iconic hits like “9 to 5,” “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You,” and “Coat of Many Colors.” In addition to general admission tickets, VIP packages are also available.
Parton’s previous Las Vegas performances date back to the 1980s at the Riviera Hotel and the Mirage Hotel in 1993. “It’s a magical city, and I love how much the city celebrates entertainment. It’s hot out there, though, so besides the shows and the casinos, there’s really not a whole lot to do,” the singer said of Vegas in a 2022 interview with The Tennessean. Thankfully for Parton, her performances will take place during the cooler months in the desert.
