Coi Leray took fans behind the scenes of the birth of her first child in a new vlog.
On Monday (July 7), the “Players” rapper posted a YouTube vlog chronicling the birth of her newborn daughter, Miyoco, whom she shares with Trippie Redd. Rather than getting into the details of her rocky relationship with Trippie, Coi chose not to “dwell on the negative.”
“I’m big on positivity and I think that’s what I just want to focus on moving forward,” Coi said at the opening of the vlog.
Coi added that there have been times that she’s felt like she’s wanted to “disappear” amid times of stress, and explained that she’s turned her focus into “being the best mom” she can be. The artist also revealed that she returned from Los Angeles to her hometown of New Jersey and inked a deal with Epic Records in addition to becoming a first-time mom.
“I feel like with my baby girl being on the way, it gives me so much more motivation, so much more gratitude and just appreciation on life in general,” she continued.
Coi then took viewers to the delivery room on June 14, where she prepared to meet her “Gemini baby.” After being put on an epidural after hours of contractions, Coi was advised to have a c-section. Although Coi admitted giving birth was “not easy,” the process was worth it, as she safely delivered Miyoco.
“She’s so beautiful. Like, I’m obsessed with her. I love her so much. She’s so sweet, y’all,” Coi said.

The rapper reflected on the pain of the contractions, taking an epidural, and shared that a doctor noticed that the baby’s heart rate was “dropping” at one point. Despite a few other complications, Coi thanked Hackensack University Medical Center for making her “comfortable.”
“My mom got to hold her first, ‘cause you know when you get a C-section, you have to kind of lay there,” Coi said. But then they bring her over to you and put her next to my face. And I was just so in shock. Like, I can’t believe I just had a baby. Like, this is my princess.”
Coi said that she’s “obsessed” with Miyoco, who’s given her “motivation to want to go hard.”
“I took a break from the music and just the artist mode for almost like a year and so many things happened within this year. And now I have this beautiful blessing,” she said.
Coi has chosen not to show Miyoco for now because she wants to “protect” her, although the newborn has been seen in a few social media posts.
