Baby Audio has launched a new collection of presets for the BA-1 software synthesizer, which is based on a portable 1980s synth with a toylike appearance and a gritty sound.
Bringing the sounds of the golden decade of electronic music, the 90s Legacy expansion contains 4 preset packs with a total of 355 presets:
- Isotonik with 150 presets by Matt Bowdler (The Unfinished). Inspired by dance and jungle cult hits, IDM and the Wipeout soundtrack, this vast collection of 150 presets covers dance music’s golden era in its full and eclectic glory.
- Low Poly Breaks with 66 presets by Pizza Hotline: Channeling the unique flavor of jungle that soundtracked early 3D consoles, this pack delivers the synth sounds of gaming’s biggest paradigm shift. Dive deep into atmospheric textures and recall the moment when electronic music and gaming culture first collided.
- Summer Of Love with 68 presets by Myagi: The euphoric synth sounds of early-90s rave music culture and the second Summer of Love. Create stadium-sized dance anthems with over-the-top leads and squelchy basslines. This is a nostalgic celebration of one of the most influential moments in music culture – which shaped a new generation of dance, trance and house artists.
- UK Garage with 71 presets by ARC Noise: Inspired by the sounds of pirate radio sessions and club nights of ‘90s London, this pack captures the synth flavors of UKG, blending street attitude with dancefloor sophistication.
The collection is on sale for $29 USD instead of $49 USD at Plugin Boutique and from the Baby Audio store until July 31st, 2025.
