Latto headlined Syracuse University’s Block Party 2025 over the weekend, and she got around to posting some pictures from her time on the central New York campus on Tuesday (April 29). While she’ll always be Big Mama, Latto went by Big Daddy in Syracuse as she rocked a throwback ‘fit that went diamond in the streets of New York in the early 2000s. Latto donned a Syracuse Carmelo Anthony jersey with baggy True Religion jean shorts and a pair of Timberland boots. Anthony led Syracuse’s basketball team to a national championship in 2003. One photo appeared to show Latto in…

When journalism and media students hit me up with questions for their dissertations—while a pleasure to do, I still find it weird; having been in the music writing field for almost a decade, I still feel like I’m learning myself. My journalism journey has been an odd one, and I told i-D about it in depth last year. I grew up in a rough part of London—Wanno Road, South London—where the “olders” wore off-key Versace, and moped bikes were all the rage. And I wanted that; I wanted all of it—the girls, the gold teeth, the Nike 110s (in every colour). My older brother was one of those olders, and…

Image Image Credit Variety / Contributor via Getty Images Image Size landscape-medium Rico Nasty is done letting the industry control her. On Thursday (Feb. 20), the “Rage” rapper shared the first taste of LETHAL, her first album in nearly three years, alongside its lead single, “TEETHSUCKER (YEA3x).” Unlike her past projects, Rico is making moves on her own terms. To that end, she parted ways with her longtime team and former label, Atlantic Records, after years of feeling unheard and misled. “I’m no longer taking maybes,” she told Rolling Stone in an interview accompanying the LP’s cover reveal and announcement.…
