Photos and video of the I’m Him 2 artist sitting courtside were quick to spread with all manner of fan commentary, namely due to Gates’ having very recently made some headlined remarks about LeBron and his wife, Savannah James.

“Did LeBron confront him like he did with Stephen A?” Brown wrote in an update to X on Wednesday, at the time reacting to footage of Gates and Renner sitting courtside at the Lakers game. AB, of course, wasn’t the only one who mentioned Stephen A. Smith in the wake of Gates’ timely courtside appearance.
What happened between Stephen A. Smith and LeBron James?
In March, LeBron appeared to get into a heated confrontation with Smith during a timeout in a Lakers and Knicks game. At the time, fans were quick to provide some hilarious commentary of their own. On Instagram, Gates zeroed in on “the way Savannah looks at LeBron,” comparing it to “the way them white women look at LeBron. Elsewhere, he likened Savannah to a jail warden. Later, Gates showed “love” to LeBron when responding to a presumed response from the Lakers star, noting “sometimes the truth hurts, but it heals.”

Not directly, no. On IG, however, he told fans “kings don’t concern themselves with the opinions of peasants,” widely interpreted as a response.
