Bjango has released Buckets And Decay ($49), a BBD and PT2399 delay, chorus, flanger, and vibrato plugin for macOS and Windows.

We have already run a few Bjango giveaways on BPB, and I really like their software. Their plugins look great, I love the crisp interface design, and they are also fun to use, so I am happy to share this one with BPB readers.
Buckets And Decay normally costs $49 plus tax, and a 30-day free trial is available. When you buy the plugin, all 1.x updates are included, and Bjango says its plugins are privacy-focused, with no ads, analytics, or creepy tracking.
The plugin is built around two classic delay chip families instead of focusing on a specific hardware unit.
BBD chips are the analog bucket brigade devices behind many chorus, flanger, vibrato, and delay sounds from the 1970s and 1980s. They are known for warm repeats, natural high-frequency roll-off, and increasing color as the repeats decay.
PT2399 chips are digital echo processors that were originally developed for karaoke systems, but became popular in many guitar pedals because of their gritty repeats, limited bandwidth, and musical imperfections.
Buckets And Decay combines both approaches in one plugin. It includes two BBD models and two PT2399 models, so you can move between different flavors of dark, colored delay and modulation without reaching for separate plugins.
The main Delay control ranges from 1 ms to 5 seconds, so it can cover flanging, chorus, doubling, slapback, and longer echo effects. You can switch between tempo-synced delay times and millisecond values at the bottom of the interface.
The modulation section uses Rate, Depth, and Shape controls, with triangle, sine, square, and smooth random LFO shapes. The dry/wet Mix control lets you move from chorus and flanging to full vibrato, while Spread offsets the left and right delay times for wider stereo textures.
There are also Low and High filters for shaping the wet signal, plus Feedback for repeats and self-oscillation. Push the feedback high enough, and Buckets And Decay moves into the unstable delay territory that makes these chip-inspired effects so much fun.
Buckets And Decay is available as an AUv3 plugin for macOS 14 or higher and as a VST3 plugin for macOS 13 or higher and Windows 10 or higher.
