ACE Studio 2.0 is an all-in-one AI music studio for macOS and Windows, focused on AI-generated vocals, instruments, and related production tools.
ACE Studio is designed around expressive AI-powered singing rather than full song generation (although that is also possible in version 2.0 with the Generative AI Kit “Inspire Me”).
The core idea is that you provide MIDI and lyrics, and the software generates editable vocal performances that behave more like recorded takes than static samples. Version 2.0 expands the system with more voice models, additional languages, new AI instruments, and several workflow updates.
The central part of ACE Studio is its vocal synthesis engine. The current library includes over 140 royalty-free AI voice models, covering multiple singing styles and supporting eight languages, including English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Italian, French, and Portuguese.
You work with vocals in a piano-roll-style editor, where pitch, timing, vibrato, pronunciation, dynamics, and even emotional intensity can be adjusted in detail. The goal is to treat vocals as something you can sculpt and modify, like any other virtual instrument, but with all the parameters of a human voice.
If you don’t find a suitable voice, ACE Studio also allows you to train custom voice models using your own vocal recordings. Alternatively, the VoiceMix feature lets you blend existing voice models together without training, creating hybrid timbres for different musical contexts.
Beyond vocals, ACE Studio includes AI instruments that generate performances directly from MIDI. The current lineup focuses on expressive acoustic instruments such as violins, violas, cellos, saxophones, trumpets, and duduk.

These instruments are not traditional sample libraries; instead of loading large multisampled datasets, you input MIDI and shape the performance parameters inside the software.
Version 2.0 also introduces three Generative AI Kits: Inspire Me, Music Enhancer, and Add a Layer. These tools are meant to assist with early ideas or arrangement work by generating loops, layers, or enhancements based on your input, rather than producing complete tracks automatically.
For DAW users, ACE Studio seamlessly integrates via the ACE Bridge plugin, available in VST, AU, and AAX formats. Additional tools include a stem splitter, vocal-to-MIDI conversion, and lyric extraction, all intended to make imported audio editable inside the ACE Studio environment.
ACE Studio 2.0 is available in two editions. ACE Studio Artist costs $398, while ACE Studio Artist Pro is priced at $528, with the Pro version including expanded content and features. Both licenses are lifetime purchases.
ACE Studio 2.0 requires macOS 13 or later, or Windows 10 or later, and is available as a standalone application with DAW plugin support.
