This latest addition to its landmark modular orchestra series that continues to set the standard for realism, playability and responsiveness in the virtual instrument sphere. Following on from Abbey Road Orchestra Flutes, Clarinets and Oboes, this addition to the woodwinds section captures a world-class Bassoons a2 section within the iconic acoustics of Abbey Road Studio One, engineered by GRAMMY® Award-winning engineer Simon Rhodes, recorded and programmed in stunning detail.
Abbey Road Orchestra: Symphonic Woodwinds delivers an authentic and responsive playing experience tailor-made for orchestral composition, with sophisticated performance legato and intelligent, velocity-sensitive transitions, that allow for incredibly natural melodic lines. This technological underpinning ensures that composers can achieve fluid, expressive performances that truly sing. With each instrument boasting up to 21 articulations and 16 curated microphone signals for full control over the mix, it’s an indispensable tool for composers to elevate their scores.
Abbey Road Orchestra: Bassoons and Symphonic Woodwinds are available now. The Professional edition of Bassoons is priced at £249 GBP / $309 USD / €309 EUR, with an introductory 20% discount bringing the price down to £199 GBP / $247 USD / €247 EUR until September 11th, 2025. The Core edition costs £99 GBP / $99 USD / €99 EUR.
All four Woodwinds are also available in the Abbey Road Orchestra: Symphonic Woodwinds bundle, offering a 33% discount at £667 GBP / $828 USD / €828 EUR for the Professional edition or £265 GBP / $265 USD / €265 EUR for the Core edition.
