Loopmasters has released a sample pack inspired by the sounds of artists such as The Orb, Future Sound of London, and Aphex Twin.
A unique collection which emphasizes the dreamy textures of early ’90s ambient music, the royalty free Early 90s Ambient Techno pack blends them with elements of techno and classic house, delivering a selection of deep basslines and acid synths, full drum grooves and fills, unique sound-designed effects, lush pads, evolving arps and sequences, rich synthesizers, and dynamic vocal chops.
Crafted by Roland Sebastian Faber, Early 90s Ambient Techno is a staple of the sound of the German electronic producer born in Berlin, now based in London. Active since the 90s under the name Kinky Roland, his releases have appeared on labels including HOS Records, More Protein, Prolekult, React, and Trade. Roland has worked closely with Boy George and Marc Almond, and his remix credits span Missy Elliott, George Michael, Tiësto, Kylie Minogue, Moby, Culture Club, and more. His collaborations extend to Bryan Adams, Mory Kanté, Glenn Gregory, and Marcella Detroit, alongside numerous other artists.
Beyond production, Roland is an accomplished sound designer, creating content for companies like Nexus and exploring his lifelong passion for synthesizer technology. His projects and aliases include LoverushUK, RSF, Replicant, Minty and the Offset, Punxsoundcheck, Syntheticmachines, Starcluster, and Goatoms. Influenced by Tangerine Dream, Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, John Carpenter, and Kraftwerk, Roland also channels a strong cinematic sensibility into his work.
The sample pack is available to purchase for £24.95 GBP.
