Saweetie Laughs Off Claims Her Music Career Is Done: ‘Sti…

Saweetie has found herself on the receiving end of some hate regarding her career — but it looks like she isn’t bothered by the mean things the internet has to say.

Earlier this month, the “ICY GRL” rapper released her new EP, Hella Pressure. The five-track project is her first since 2024’s Pretty Hu$tler Mix, and while some fans have shared how much they’ve been enjoying the tape, there are some people who think it’s time for her to hang it up.

“Saweetie’s music career is like an iPhone with 1% battery,” beauty influencer Shawn Graham wrote on X on Friday (August 15). “Everyone can see it’s about to die, but she’s still acting like it’s fully charged. She’s blaming her label for not putting a dollar behind her, but let’s be real… even if they did, that dollar would’ve been better spent at Dollar Tree buying a broom to sweep up all the flop singles she’s been dropping.”

Responding at first with a simple “so,” Saweetie went on to turn the insult around on Graham, adding: “just because y’all give up easily on ur dreams (then have to live vicariously through someone else’s ☹️) doesn’t mean I am 😭😭😭 thank you for the compliment tho, still that bitch on 1%.”

It didn’t stop there, though. Graham hit back with a very lengthy post that directly addressed Saweetie’s comments, while continuing to trash the rapper’s career.

“Saweetie talking about ‘still that bitch on 1%’ is wild, because sis, your career been on low power mode since the ‘Icy Girl’ remix,” Graham began her response. “You’re basically the rap game’s landline technically still here, but nobody’s checking for you unless it’s an emergency. She swears she’s ‘still that bitch’ but it’s giving ‘still at the bus stop’ while everyone else already drove off in Lambos. Cardi B’s champagne corks got more hits than your last three singles combined.”

She continued: “And blaming people for ‘living vicariously’ through you? Baby, the only thing people live vicariously through you for is the peace and quiet when your songs don’t chart. Your label didn’t spend a dollar because they know ROI stands for ‘Return On Ice’ with you frozen, stale, and not moving. Next.”

After Saweetie responded once more, telling her detractor that her response was “such a boring read,” the rapper’s fans started getting involved, with one asking: “Why are people bullying her I don’t see her do anything ??” To which Sweetie responded: “it’s a trend.”

Another fan ran one of Graham’s X posts through an AI detector before sharing the results.

“Why would you use AI to write a Harry Potter book to address @saweetie?” the fan wrote, sharing a screenshot that shows the response was allegedly 100% AI-written. “It’s time to seek a therapist.”

“Wait – I’m being trolled on the behalf of AI ? 😭😭😭😭,” Saweetie wrote, laughing off the X post.

A third fan told Saweetie that she was going to use her clap back for their bio. “‘Still that bitch on 1%’ I’m stealing that for my bio gorgeous,” they declared.

ComplexCon returns to Las Vegas on October 25–26, 2025, with over 300 brands and live performances by Young Thug, YEAT & Friends, Peso Pluma, Central Cee, Ken Carson, and more. Get your tickets now.
