Teyana Taylor has reportedly been ordered to pay $70,000 to her ex-husband Iman Shumpert after she was found in contempt of court, stemming from their ongoing divorce proceedings.
According to Us Weekly, Taylor and Shumpert attended a hearing on July 25 after they accused each other of being in contempt of court by violating the terms of their divorce settlement.
A judge is said to have ruled in favor of the former NBA player, who cited an Instagram video posted in March in which the singer and actor addressed reports regarding their divorce.
As part of their divorce agreement, both sides agreed to not disclose any information about the ruling. “The court finds [Taylor] in violation of the Final Judgment and Decree of Divorce and is in willful contempt,” the order is said to read.
The sum will reportedly be given to Shumpert’s lawyer for his legal fees.
When he filed a motion for contempt of court against Taylor, Shumpert requested a $1,000 fine and 20-day jail sentence.

A judge determined that Taylor did not “present sufficient evidence” to support her claim that Shumpert leaked information about their divorce judgment to the press.
“It appears Taylor and her counsel failed to engage in even a minimal amount of diligence to determine whether her claim of contempt had any factual support at all before the petition was filed,” the order reads.
The One Battle After Another star also asked the court to incarcerate Shumpert, but withdrew the request.
The order said Taylor refused to answer questions from Shumpert “inquiring about her assets and her income, further stating that such information was completely irrelevant to any issue.”
