Serato has announced the release of an update to its recent multi-fx plugin designed to bend, morph, and hex your sound with a full suite of chainable effects.
Version 1.1 of Hex FX features a preset macro editor, 3 new vibrant effects, 40 new presets, key UI/UX upgrades and general bug fixes.
Hex FX 1.1 will help music producers take their sonic abilities to the next level with a slate of new sounds and upgraded features sure to boost inspiration and creativity.
Changes in Hex FX v1.1
- 40 new presets including artist presets designed by producer and instrumentalist Kaelin Ellis (Lupe Fiasco, Logic, Joyce Wrice), genre-blending producer Oh Gosh Leotus (Doechii, Tink, Blxst) and more.
- Three new effect types – Spring Reverb, Cassette Sim and 3-Band EQ – to add space, lo-fi color and tone shaping to any sound.
- The four Spring Reverb modes include Vintage, Modern, Cosmic and Digital. From slap-backs to warped decay, this effect will propel the possibilities of spring reverbs beyond reality.
- Cassette Sim recreates old textures with new FX. Tap into the soulful lo-fi sounds of worn-out decks and dusty mixtapes with Hiss, Wow, Flutter, Mechanical Grab and Warm Overdrive.
- 3-Band EQ allows producers to shape their FX chain with parametric Low-Shelf, Mid-Bell and High-Shelf EQ to offer clean, classic tone-sculpting.
- With the introduction of the Preset Macro Editor, producers can customize how every effect and parameter in their chain responds to their Hex Dial. Automate with precision, craft dynamic FX chains and unlock unique textures from one central view.
Available for Windows and Mac (VST3/AU), Hex FX is now available to purchase for $99 USD at Plugin Boutique and from the Serato store. The update is free for existing users of the plugin.
