Drake continues to tease his new album Iceman.
The rapper went live on Kick on Saturday (Aug. 9) for a stream, joined by Adin Ross, xQc, and Partynextdoor.
During the stream, he briefly discussed the recording process for his ninth studio album, Iceman, pointing to a microphone behind him and saying he planned to stay up “all night” working on it.
“I’ll stay up all night fucking recording for Iceman. They’re having a full blown party outside,” Drake said in the clip above. “I can hear people and having a street festival all day. I’ll go out there.I’ll fucking run out there. I’ll turn up with them, do shots, come back— like, I just want a little, you know, I wanna feel it.”
Elsewhere in the stream, Ross claimed he already heard “the whole Iceman album,” calling it a “great” album.
“Now people are gonna say that you’re underwhelmed by it when you fucking talking about it like that,” Drake joked.
Iceman will mark Drake’s first solo full-length album since 2023’s For All the Dogs and his first album of any sort since his $ome $exy $ongs 4 U collab album with Partynextdoor.
Earlier this week, he shared a photo dump on Instagram with the caption, “Tired…too many bangers.”
In July, he released two singles, “What Did I Miss” and “Which One” featuring Central Cee, although it’s not clear if these songs are meant to appear on the album.
Some fans believe “What Did I Miss” alludes to Kendrick Lamar’s “Pop Out” event last June, with one lyric: ”I saw bro went to Pop Out with them, but been dick-riding gang since ‘Headlines.’” The lyric is likely aimed at LeBron James, who attended the show and appeared to side with Lamar during his and Drizzy’s feud.
Drake has yet to confirm Iceman’s release date.
