Sound design boutique company The Very Loud Indeed Co. has launched its latest sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt.
Developed by veteran sound designer for videogames and The Very Loud Indeed Co.’s founder Richie Nieto, BANSHEE: Dark Vocal Explorations is a vocal sample library designed specifically for composing for the horror genre.
It features master vocalist Malí, who “shaped her voice to evoke supernatural, inhuman performances portraying ghostly and demonic entities.”
“This is not a vocal library meant for composing romantic comedies or beautiful heartwarming pieces. It’s meant to put madness and anguish at your fingertips, to underline scenes that portray fear and otherworldly danger,” says Nieto.
The library includes 640 audio files at 24 bit/48 kHz resolution. All the sound files are in WAV format, so they can be used in other samplers or directly in a DAW.
BANSHEE: Dark Vocal Explorations for the full version of Kontakt 6.8 or later is on sale for the introductory price of $49 USD until August 14th, 2025 (regular $79 USD).
