Beyoncé’s unreleased music and tour files were stolen from an SUV in Atlanta just days before her final Cowboy Carter show in the city.
Beyoncé lost unreleased music and confidential tour materials in Atlanta after her choreographer’s rental SUV was broken into during a brief stop at a local market.
According to the Atlanta Police Department, two suitcases belonging to Christopher Grant and Diandre Blue were stolen from a Jeep Wagoneer parked outside Krog Street Market on July 8.
The pair had stepped away for about an hour around 8 P.M. When they returned, the back window had been smashed and their luggage was gone.
Inside those bags were two laptops and several hard drives containing unreleased tracks, watermarked audio, performance plans and draft setlists for Beyoncé’s upcoming shows.
The incident report confirmed that the stolen items were directly tied to the singer’s tour.
“Mr. Grant advised he was also carrying some personal sensitive information for the musician Beyoncé,” the report states. “He advised he was her choreographer, and Mr. Diandre Blue was a dancer for her, and that her hard drives for her upcoming show in Atlanta were (stolen).”
The theft occurred just days before Beyoncé wrapped her fourth and final Atlanta performance at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on July 15 as part of her Cowboy Carter Tour.
Police were able to trace the stolen computers and headphones, and investigators recovered fingerprints from the damaged SUV. An arrest warrant has been issued, though the suspect’s identity has not been released.
“At this time, the suspect remains outstanding, and their identity is not yet available for release,” a police spokesperson told People. “Please keep in mind that the information released is preliminary in nature and could change as the investigation progresses or new information comes to light.”
There’s no word yet on whether any of the stolen music has been recovered. Representatives for Beyoncé have not commented publicly on the matter.
The Grammy-winning artist is scheduled to perform next at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, on July 25 and 26.
