Coco Jones and Donovan Mitchell will soon be jumping the broom.
In shared Instagram posts on Friday, July 11, the Grammy-nominated singer and actress and her Cleveland Cavaliers guard beau shared the engagement photo and a cute video of the proposal.
In the first slide of Mitchell’s post, Jones is kissing Mitchell as the sun sets behind them. As she rests her hand on his chest, she reveals a brand-new diamond engagement ring.
But it’s the second slide that has the Internet a-flurry.
In the second slide, Mitchell posted a video of himself and the “Here We Go” singer on what appears to be a vacation at a resort. As the sun sets, Mitchell takes Jones by the pool, where he gets down on one knee and pops the question.
Although there is no audio in the video, Jones clearly said “yes” to his proposal.
It’s unclear how long Jones and Mitchell have been an item, as the pair keeps their relationship private. However, Jones confirmed that she was dating Mitchell in an interview with Club Shay Shay back in March 2025.
“Secrecy is not what I prefer. I don’t want to feel like I have to be somebody secret,” she said during the interview. “I don’t want to make anybody feel like they’re mine. For me, I’m trying to protect myself, and I’m trying to protect my family and who I love, so I am more private.”
Jones and Mitchell have both had banner years. In addition to enjoying a recent stint at Essence Fest, her debut album, Why Not More?, made the Top 20 on both the hip-hop & R&B charts.
Meanwhile, according to Sports Illustrated, Mitchell has averaged 24 points per game this season and has been named to his second All-NBA team.
A wedding date for the pair has not been announced yet.
