Ohm Force launches Ohmicide[S] multiband distortion plugin

Twenty+ years after inventing multi-band distortion/dynamics and making it a hallmark of many genres of music production with Ohmicide – and a single year after releasing its Eurorack spinoff Ohmicide ER – Ohm Force has announced Ohmicide[S].

The King returns in its original plugin form for Mac and PC, building upon the framework devised with Ohmboyz Infinity and Frohmager and adding some edgy twists to fulfill all of your distortion needs for the next twenty years!

Ohmicide[S] is an absolute beast of a tool whether you want filthy guitars, nasty basses, glitchy drums or some highly controllable ways to adjust dynamics and add harmonics in your mix. We hope you’ll love it as much as we do!

Ohmicide[S] features

• Immediately enjoy lovingly crafted and documented presets sorted in highly visual categories and uniquely adjustable through our innovative Macros². Created with the contribution of the mighty crew of sound designers at Keepforest (some of the people who had developed the best expertise at the original Ohmicide) but also packed with Red Force’s carousel of disgustingly gritty guitars and bass.
• The widest library of distortion around with 111 different algorithms accessible through a handy, self-documented browser.
• A well thought out routing created upon decades of user’s feedback allowing for serial, parallel, split distortions -or all of the above- while always maintaining a preserved X band to treat your low end separately.
• 7 bands with dynamics, distortion, filters and feedback generators in which everything can be modulated by a beefy matrix supporting all the LFOs we could think of as well as step sequencers, ADSR and the one you’ll probably use all the time with this plugin, a highly adjustable envelope follower.
