Blue Cat Audio has announced the release of a new “augmented” wah pedal simulation plugin.
Originally available only as a built-in plugin inside the Axiom guitar software, Miaow Wah has grown up and is now available as an independent plugin, with a new LFO mode, new presets and customization features. It is now capable of a wide range of filtering and modulation effects in addition to traditional wah pedals simulations.
The plugin includes a wide variety of predefined wah models inspired by legendary pedals, which can be controlled manually with an expression pedal, or can be triggered automatically with a built-in envelope follower (auto wah) or an LFO that can be synced to your DAW. Miaow Wah makes it easy to create your own wah pedals or filtering effects from factory presets with the built-in Tone Maps browser or the wah editor.
Blue Cat Audio has also updated the Axiom guitar effects processor and amp simulation software.
Version 2.2 not only includes the new Miaow Wah plugin as a built-in effect with new presets to get the best out of it, but also many improvements and fixes to enhance the overall Axiom experience. It comes with MIDI control and routing, synchronized recording, network mode improvements, presets management and more.
To celebrate the release, Blue Cat Audio has launched a “Guitar Month” promotion, offering its guitar-related software and plugins at discounts of up to 25% off until July 31st, 2025.
Available for Windows and Mac (VST/VST3, AU and AAX), Miaow Wah is on sale for 23 USD/EUR instead of 29 USD/EUR, while Axiom is 199 USD/EUR instead of 249 USD/EUR during the promotion at Plugin Boutique and at the Blue Cat Audio store.
