Drake’s “What Did I Miss?” soared to No. 1 on Spotify and Apple Music as listeners dissected its lyrics and took aim at Kendrick Lamar online.

Drake stormed to the top of both the U.S. Spotify and Apple Music charts with his surprise single, “What Did I Miss?” released on July 4 during a livestream titled “Iceman Episode 1,” reigniting his feud with Kendrick Lamar and triggering a wave of online celebration and criticism.

The track opened with 2.1 million streams on Spotify in the U.S., immediately claiming the No. 1 spot.

It also shot to the top of Apple Music’s U.S. chart the same day, marking another strong return for Drake following his lyrical battle with Kendrick Lamar earlier this year.

“What Did I Miss?” is widely believed to be the lead single from Drake’s upcoming album, possibly titled Iceman.

The rapper used the track to address fractured relationships and perceived betrayals in the wake of his public back-and-forth with Kendrick Lamar.

Drake also alludes to Lamar’s 2024 “Pop Out” concert in Los Angeles, where NBA stars LeBron James and DeMar DeRozan were seen in attendance.

Their appearance sparked speculation that they had taken Kendrick Lamar’s side in the feud, a move that Drake seems to address in the song.

Online, listeners are dissecting every bar, with many interpreting the song as a direct continuation of his feud with Lamar.

As the track climbs the charts, Drake supporters are celebrating the chart-topping debut while using the moment to drag Kendrick Lamar across social media platforms.

Everything about Drake y’all just gotta bring up Kendrick, huh..?
    That’s really, really sad man.

how’s he the greatest ain’t even make the list?

If the most random west coast rapper had written these exact bars, they would’ve gassed him and said he has elite writing skills.

But when it’s Drake, they either say he has terrible bars or say he has ghostwriters. In both cases, they’re lying to themselves 🤣 https://t.co/Ry4yMm1HIa

I have a question mr “hype” why can’t people enjoy both? Kendrick is a midget and Drake is a flamboyant Canadian why are you taking this so seriously
