Despite serious legal allegations swirling around him, Fat Joe appears to be in good spirits — at least according to longtime friend and fellow rapper Ja Rule.
Ja Rule spoke exclusively to TMZ backstage at Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert in New Jersey on Friday (June 20), where he performed a heartfelt tribute to late music mogul Irv Gotti. When asked about Fat Joe’s state of mind following a recently filed lawsuit accusing him of inappropriate relationships with underage girls, Ja made it clear: his friend is staying strong.
“He’s good, I actually spoke to Crack yesterday,” Ja revealed. “I was asking him if he’s still not available for tonight. [laughs] ‘Cause he had a show. But yeah, he’s good. He’s in good spirits. It’s fine.”
The lawsuit, filed earlier this week by Terrance Dixon and attorney Tyrone A. Blackburn, alleged that Fat Joe engaged in sexual relationships with multiple underage girls. It also bizarrely claims he plotted to assassinate rapper 50 Cent — a claim 50 himself dismissed as “total BS” in a social media post Saturday.
Joe’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, has strongly denied the allegations, calling them “lies intended to damage his reputation and force a settlement through public pressure.”

Ja said he even tried to get Joe to join him on stage Friday night, but the Bronx-born rapper had another commitment. “He had his own show,” Ja explained. “But he’s all the way up, man.”
50 Cent recently responded to Fat Joe’s lawsuit that also accuses the Terror Squad boss of attempting to hire someone to kill the G-Unit head honcho.
“These baseless accusations and claims are not credible,” 50 captioned a recent post. “I’m sorry joe has to endure the public scrutiny and damage to his reputation.”
Fif added, “THIS IS A STICK UP! I wrote this hook I should a kept this one.”
