50 Cent has responded to a lawsuit that accuses Fat Joe of attempting to hire someone to kill him.
One Saturday (June 21) Fif hopped on Instagram to let the world know that he’s on Joe’s side with this one.
“These baseless accusations and claims are not credible,” 50 captioned a post featuring an AI image of the two together. “I’m sorry joe has to endure the public scrutiny and damage to his reputation.”
“THIS IS A STICK UP!” Fif added. “I wrote this hook I should a kept this one.”
Fat Joe’s former hype man, Terrance “T.A.” Dixon,” is currently suing the Terror Squad leader for $20 million. In the legal complaint, Dixon alleges that Fat Joe tried to hire someone to kill 50 Cent in the midst of their previous beef in either 2006 or 2007.
“[Fat Joe] engaged in a calculated and premeditated conspiracy to murder rapper Curtis Jackson, known professionally as ’50 Cent,'” reads the lawsuit. “Around the winter of 2006–2007, Defendant Cartagena was residing in Miami when he received a call reporting 50 Cent’s presence at a New York venue. Defendant Cartagena ordered the hit, but 50 Cent was surrounded by ‘Navy Seal’ type security, and the would-be assassins were afraid to make the attempt.”

The lawsuit accuses Fat Joe of freely admitting that he placed “a bag on 50 Cent’s head” and that he “expressed frustration that he had not yet succeeded in executing the plot. Fat Joe allegedly told his associates that he had been “trying to get this ni**a for a minute.”
“The defendant was visibly distraught and shaking when discussing the plot’s failure, suggesting not only intent and active planning but also direct coordination with individuals acting on his behalf,” the lawsuit continues.
“The plot involved tracking 50 Cent’s movements via his performance schedule and attempting to ambush him at multiple public venues. … The attempted assassination is consistent with the Enterprise’s pattern of retaliatory violence against perceived disloyalty, disrespect, or competition.”
Fat Joe has denied Dixon’s claims through his attorney, Joe Tacopina. “The lawsuit filed by Tyrone Blackburn and Terrance Dixon is a blatant act of retaliation,” said Tacopina in a statement. “The allegations against Mr. Joseph Antonio Cartagena [Fat Joe’s real name] are complete fabrications — lies intended to damage his reputation and force a settlement through public pressure. Mr. Cartagena will not be intimidated. We have taken legal action to expose this fraudulent campaign and hold everyone involved accountable.”
Earlier this year, Fat Joe filed a defamation lawsuit against Dixon and accused him of conspiring to extort him for money.
“These allegations are completely false and part of a criminal conspiracy orchestrated between a disgruntled former hype man and his attorney,” Fat Joe said in a statement at the time.
