Pusha T slammed Drake’s lawsuit against Universal as “bigger than some rap sh*t,” saying it “cheapens” the art of lyrical competition.

Pusha T delivered a scathing critique of Drake’s lawsuit against Universal Music Group, calling the legal move “bigger than some rap s###” and saying it “cheapens” the art of Hip-Hop beef.

Sitting down with GQ alongside his brother Malice to promote their upcoming Clipse reunion album Let God Sort ‘Em Out, Pusha took direct aim at Drake’s decision to take legal action, suggesting it undermines the spirit of lyrical competition.

“I don’t rate him no more. The suing thing is bigger than some rap s###,” he said.

“Damn, it’s like it just cheapens the art of it once we gotta have real questions about suing and litigation. Like, what? For this?” he added.

Pusha T Claims His Drake Diss “The Story of Adidon” Was Supressed

Pusha, who’s been locked in a long-running feud with Drake since the early 2010s, said the lawsuit is likely tied to the fallout from 2018’s “The Story of Adidon,” the diss track where he revealed Drake had a son.

He added, “If [Drake] is adamant to have a lawsuit, it’s only because he knows all the things that they did to suppress everything that was happening around ‘Adidon’ and the verses and the records and things that were happening back then.”

The Clipse rapper also revealed that UMG tried to pressure him into censoring Kendrick Lamar’s verse on the new album.

“They wanted me to ask Kendrick to censor his verse, which of course I was never doing,” he explained. “And then they wanted me to take the record off. And so, after a month of not doing it, Steve Gawley, the lawyer over there was like, ‘We’ll just drop the Clipse.’ But that can’t work because I’m still there [solo]. But [if] you let us all go…”

Eventually, Def Jam agreed to release both Pusha T as a solo act and the Clipse group, clearing the way for them to sign with Roc Nation.

As for whether he’d ever return to trading bars with Drake, Pusha said, “Considering everything that has transpired, I believe there’s nothing left to say subliminally ever again.”

Still, he left the door cracked open: “Man, I would only engage again if I felt like it.”

The Clipse dropped their lead single, “Ace Trumpets,” last week. Let God Sort ‘Em Out is set to release on Thursday (July 11).
