Young Thug seemingly doesn’t appreciate Kid Cudi taking the stand in Diddy’s sex trafficking and racketeering trial.
As reported by TMZ, Young Thug allegedly shared a post on X on Thursday, May 22 following Cudi’s testimony, in which he alleged that Diddy set his car on fire and allegedly broke into his home over his brief relationship with Cassie in 2011. Thugger, who had a long-winded RICO trial of his own that finally came to an end with his release last year, wrote in the hastily deleted tweet, “Dam cudi a rat lol.”
It’s unclear if this is Thug siding with Diddy in the trial, which kicked off after the Bad Boy Records founder was accused of sexual misconduct and abuse in dozens of lawsuits. Last month, Young Thug’s attorney in his trial, Brian Steel, joined the criminal defense team representing Diddy, however. Considering that Steel was able to help free Thugger free last year, he could be offering support to his attorney.
Following the Kid Cudi testimony, Steel pushed for a mistrial due to a question he deemed “outrageous.” Steel raised multiple objections when Cudi was questioned by the prosecution, suggesting that it was “outrageous” for them to ask if Diddy has had other people killed. Despite the objection, the line of questioning was not broached.
In a short video posted on social media after taking the stand, Cudi thanked his fans for their support.
“Hey guys, so I, I just wanna say, man, I’ve been seeing all the love and support, and I just wanna say thank you so much, man,” the rapper said. “People have been hitting me up the past week just checking in and, and even today, and I just, it really means a lot to me, man. You guys are the best. I love y’all. This is a stressful situation.”
