Dreka has set the record straight on her past relationship with her ex-husband Kevin Gates and the cheating rumors that came along with it.
The entrepreneur/wellness coach addressed the topic on Instagram Stories this week when someone asked her why she allegedly stepped out on the Baton Rouge rapper.
“Why you do tht to Kevin gates,” the person wrote. “Why you cheat with the personal trailer that he hired[?]”
Dreka immediately took to her IG Stories to shut the rumor down, which was shared by The Shade Room in a post on Thursday (May 22).
“I HAVE to address this because it’s really gone a little too far and I don’t care for social media to continue to spread this misinformation,” she wrote.” I have NEVER had any type of sexual or romantic encounters with my personal trainer or any ‘hired help’ and will NEVER. And just to make it CLEAR, sorry ladies but I am strictly [eggplant emoji] and I do not do plastic. I need the real thang! Please and thank you.”
The personal trainer rumor began circulating in 2022, after Gates unleashed his “Super General” track. The Kodak Black-sampling cut references his relationship with Dreka and how he “lied to the world while trying to protect her image.” There was also a line about a personal trainer who “invaded [his] personal space,” leading some to believe that Dreka was caught in an affair with her female fitness coach.
Gates clarified his and Dreka’s status during a 2024 appearance on Yung Miami’s Caresha Please, insisting he never accused Dreka of infidelity.
“If you listen at the time I never said she cheated on me one time,” he said, before referencing the personal trainer claims. “I never said they cheated. I never accused them of anything.”
Dreka’s comment come after Gates and Brittany Renner sparked engagement/marriage rumors. Earlier this month, Renner posted photos of her and Gates at the Basketball Wives Season 12 premiere party, and referred to Gates as her “husband.” The two have yet to confirm their marital status.
