Cassie testified on Wednesday in Diddy’s federal sex trafficking and racketeering trial and appeared to imply that the mogul gave the order to blow up Kid Cudi’s car.
In 2023, when she first accused the disgraced hip-hop mogul of repeatedly abusing her throughout their decade-long relationship, she also claimed that Diddy became extremely upset when he discovered that she and Kid Cudi, given name Scott Mescudi, had a “brief relationship.”
So upset that Diddy threatened to “blow up” Cudi’s car, the singer alleged. He “wanted to ensure that Kid Cudi was home with his friends when it happened,” and according to Cassie, he did just that.
“Around that time, Kid Cudi’s car exploded in his driveway,” Cassie’s 2023 suit read. Rumors of the incident circulated in 2012, but it wasn’t until November 2023 that a spokesperson for Cudi corroborated Cassie’s account of the alleged car explosion in a statement to The New York Times, saying, “This is all true.”
Cassie was asked about the alleged incident in court on Wednesday, when she reiterated that Diddy “wanted Scott’s friends to see Scott’s car blown up,” according to transcripts from the trial shared by Inner City Press reporter Matthew Russell Lee.
She said just before Christmas of 2011, Diddy physically assaulted her because he “found an email” during a “freak-off” sex party that implied her relationship with Cudi. Soon after, there was a meeting between her, Diddy, and Cudi.

“Scott [Kid Cudi] said, What about my vehicle? And Sean said, What vehicle? And that was the end of the meeting,” Cassie said.
Earlier in court on Wednesday, Cassie spoke about Diddy being “super angry” after finding out about her relationship with Kid Cudi, according to Variety.
She said after finding the email on her phone, Diddy “put a wine opener in his hand” and “lunged at me” with his “eyes blacked out.” Per Cassie, Diddy also threatened to “release videos and hurt Scott and I,” which she then clarified to be “freak off videos. Of me.”
Cassie said when she tried to leave, Diddy kicked her, leaving a bruise seen in a photograph shown to the courtroom. She said she returned to her hotel room to find it trashed.
“The room was torn up,” she explained. “Someone peed all over the floor, pooped in the toilet and didn’t flush it. It was gross. This was just before Christmas.”
