Tamika from the legendary group Xscape hopped on social media to explain why she gave a server a $700 tip.
Tamika shared a video detailing her recent trip to a restaurant in Buford, Georgia, where she wanted to eat with her daughter thirty minutes before it closed.
“It was like five or six waitresses and four of them turned their backs,” explained Tamika. “No one helped us and we stood there for five minutes.”
Tamika explained how a young waitress came over to help them, causing other waitresses to whisper and wonder why she decided to help them out. Because of her politeness, Tamika decided to give her a massive tip.
“Never judge a book by its cover,” said Tamika. “Be patient because you never know when you’ll be blessed.”
Tamika then filmed herself counting out $700 to give the server, who expressed that the kind gesture “made my night.”

“Oh my goodness, are you guys sure?” the server said in the clip before thanking Tamika. “Thank you guys so much, I genuinely appreciate it as well.”
Waiters would be wise to remember that celebrities give unbelievable tips when they get good service. On Christmas Eve last year, Post Malone gave a server $20,0000 because he was very satisfied with the service.
Renee Brown revealed Post Malone’s generous tip in an interview with Music Mayhem. The rapper stopped by The Railyard Bar in Houston and brought Shaboozey and others.
“I initially didn’t realize he was there until one of my coworkers from my second job came inside and told me that Austin (Post Malone) was outside on the patio,” she said. “I thought he was kidding with me at first, then I kept seeing people go outside [and] I kept making drinks for like 30 minutes before curiosity got the best of me, and lo and behold, he was there.”
Brown reflected on Malone and his friends having a great night that involved singing songs on a jukebox. After his tab was covered by his friends, Malone decided to gift Brown. “So he asked me to ring him up for a penny or anything, so I did,” she said. “I continued my close and collected all my checks and started to enter my tips. Then I got to his. It was a tip for 20,000 dollars.”
