Wale’s ‘Everything Is A Lot’ Drops In November Via Def Jam

Wale is returning with a new album on a new record label. The rapper and fashion connoisseur is dropping E verything Is A Lot on Nov. 14.

It’s been four years since the D.C.-born artist dropped his last album, Folarin II. Now, in 2025, Wale has left the Maybach Music Group and Warner Bros. Records fold and is now on Def Jam Records. His run with Rick Ross’ MMG began with his sophomore project, 2011’s Ambition, and produced a multitude of successful albums.

Things have been shifting for the “Poke It Out” rapper, and the new album is at least partly a documentation of his progression. “One of the underlying things is how heavy everything is in the world around me, my personal life, and the industry,” Wale told Billboard. “I carried all of that with me and got it out of my system through this project.”

Reportedly, the new album features production from Salaam Remi, Kel-P Vibes, Streetrunner and others. Its lead single, “Blanco,” honestly tackled the rapper’s battle with alcoholism and was released in March with a corresponding video. Wale actually signed with Def Jam back in 2023, dropping the street single “Max Julien” to mark his return.

Per Billboard, the 16-track LP was mainly recorded in London and Los Angeles and will feature “genre-bending collaborations with a yet-to-be-revealed roster that includes buzzy names across R&B, Hip Hop and Afrobeats.” That doesn’t sound like hyperbole since Wale has previously collaborated with A-listers like Lady Gaga, Usher and Rihanna.

Wale’s devoted fanbase is a testament to his staying power as he readies the release of his eighth studio album. “It’s always been hard to keep people’s attention,” Wale told Billboard. “That’s why my first album is called Attention Deficit. It’s become increasingly harder in this day and age, where fans are rewiring themselves to only like what the algorithm tells them to like. It’s an uphill battle, so it’s a blessing to be in the conversation still.”

Everything Is A Lot drops on Nov. 14.
