W.A. Production is offering the entire Helper Series 2 plugin collection for free on its website.
The Helper Series 2 bundle includes Helper Equalizer 2, Helper Saturator 2, and Helper Transients 2. These are three lightweight but practical mixing tools that cover a wide range of day-to-day tasks in the DAW.
While none of these plugins are flashy or groundbreaking, they’re well-made and versatile enough to earn a spot in your mixing toolbox, especially if you’re looking for an all-in-one solution for common mixing tasks.
We had actually hosted Helper Transients 2 as a BPB exclusive freebie back in March 2021, and it was quite popular at the time. That plugin is now free again as part of this collection.
I’m not sure when W.A. Production made the full Helper Series available for free. The last time I saw it was on sale for 97% off back in March 2024.
Since then, it’s gone completely free, and it’s unclear how long this offer will remain active. If you’re interested, it’s probably wise to grab the collection while it lasts.
Here’s a quick overview of what’s included:
Helper Equalizer 2 is a stripped-down EQ with five different filter shapes and multiple channel modes (Stereo, Mid, Side, Left, Right). It’s probably not going to replace your go-to parametric EQ, but it’s intuitive and useful for quick corrective work.
Helper Saturator 2 adds tape- or tube-style saturation with the added bonus of filter modules and multi-channel processing. It’s great for warming up drums or vocals without going overboard.
Helper Transients 2 is a solid transient shaper with dedicated attack and sustain controls. Like the others, it supports Mid/Side and Left/Right operation and includes basic filtering to focus processing where it’s needed.
These tools aren’t the most advanced plugins you’ll ever use, but that’s part of the appeal. They load quickly, are easy to dial in, and provide reliable results, which is perfect for common mixing scenarios.
All three plugins are available in VST, AU, AAX, and VST3 formats for Windows and macOS.
