Toronto rapper Top5 was stabbed while talking to fans during Drake’s takeover of Wireless Festival in London.
As first reported by Toronto-based news aggregator Keep6ixSolid, Top 5 was hanging out with fans near the stage, just after watching Drizzy’s set on Sunday (July 13), when a masked individual ran up on him and stabbed him.
He has survived the encounter, and sources added that “no arteries were hit in the attempt on his life.” He has not yet commented on the incident.
As reported by The Express Tribune, Top5 made controversial comments during a stream just hours before the stabbing.
“The are no real killers in London,” he reportedly said.
Per British tabloid The Sun, a video circulating on social media appears to show the moment when Top5 was attacked by a group of men while he was sitting in a car. In the clip, the group stomped on the windscreen and beat the person sitting in the driver’s seat. The Metropolitan Police said they were called to Springpark Drive near the festival grounds at approximately 12:15 a.m. on Monday (July 14).

“The victim, a man in his 20s was approached by a group who damaged his car before stabbing him in the leg,” a police spokesperson said. “He was taken to hospital and his injuries are not believed to be life-changing. Enquiries remain ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage.”
Last year, Top5 was released from prison after the judge in his murder trial dismissed social media evidence that prosecutors argued proved he was behind the fatal 2021 shooting of 20-year-old Hashim Omar Hashi.
“An innocent man just came home,” he told reporters outside the courthouse.
He still faces firearms charges in a separate case dating from January of this year.
Top5 was in attendance for Drake’s three-night takeover of Wireless Festival, which featured numerous high-profile guests from the rapper’s native Toronto, London, and beyond.
