For the third year in a row, the holiday season’s cinematic offerings will be led by a much-anticipated Timothée Chalamet vehicle, this time from director Josh Safdie.
Tyler, The Creator—credited here by his birth name, Tyler Okonma—is also in the cast for Marty Supreme, as are Gwyneth Paltrow and Odessa A’zion. Moments before the long-awaited first trailer’s unveiling on Wednesday morning, Chalamet, who earlier this year bagged a well-deserved Oscar nomination for his inspired turn as Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, signaled its imminent arrival by sharing a throwback photo of himself in a Superman t-shirt.
“Dream big,” he scribbled atop the pic.
This sentiment is echoed in the trailer itself, which finds Chalamet’s character, Marty Mauser, on a determined and inspiring path to greatness not unlike the one the actor detailed during his SAG Awards speech back in February.
A24’s Marty Supreme is in theaters Dec. 25. Up top, take the trailer plunge.
