Session Loops has released the updated real-time version of VocalNet, a new AI-driven voice cloning and transformation plugin for macOS and Windows.
The plugin enables you to transform vocals in real-time directly within your DAW, and it’s available for instant download with a fully functional 14-day trial, as well as lifetime or subscription purchase options following the free trial.
VocalNet is aimed at producers, vocalists, and sound designers who want to reshape or reimagine vocal performances without relying on cloud processing. The plugin runs entirely offline, delivering real-time vocal transformations without latency or the need for an internet connection.
The workflow is straightforward. First, you import clean vocal samples that will serve as the target voices. VocalNet analyzes them to create high-quality voice models.
Once the models are ready, you can play or record your input vocal, and the plugin will convert it in real time to match the selected target voice. You can load up to three different voices simultaneously and morph between them using the triangular on-screen control.
This, in addition to working offline, is my favorite VocalNet feature. It allows you to create new hybrid tones and even some unusual timbres using various vocals as the source.
In practical use, VocalNet can transform your vocals with anything from subtle timbral shifts to full-blown voice swaps. You could, for example, take a dry female vocal sample, clone it, and then feed your own vocal through the plugin to instantly hear yourself as an approximation of that singer.
The results can be surprisingly convincing, and the quality increases if you use high-quality vocal recordings that aren’t overprocessed.
For more creative sound design, the voice morphing control lets you blend voices on the fly, which opens the door to complex timbres or futuristic vocal textures. It’s also flexible enough to process other monophonic sounds like synths or leads for unique character shifts.
VocalNet works as a VST3, AU, and AAX plugin, compatible with all major DAWs. You can try it for free for 14 days with no feature limitations. After that, voice cloning becomes disabled unless you purchase a lifetime license ($69 intro price, normally $99) or subscribe starting at $5.99/month.
VocalNet is available for macOS and Windows in VST3, AU, and AAX formats. You can download the trial directly from the Session Loops website.
