Pusha T has a response for critics of his music who believe Clipse never switch the topics they rap about.
Pusha T and Malice sat down with Fat Joe and Jadakiss on the Joe & Jada podcast to talk about their recently released album, Let God Sort Em Out. While discussing their rap styles, Fat Joe asked the two how they would answer the critics who say that they only rap about cocaine.
“Rap has always come from a very real place,” said Pusha. “What that being said, being in it 23 years, I feel like at this point, I liken it to somebody who loves mob movies.”
“I don’t watch horror, I watch A&E,” Pusha continued. “It’s scarier because I believe it. I liken my music to that as well. You can’t please everybody, but 23 years in this, I’m not trying to please nobody but myself.”
Pusha’s clearly someone who doesn’t like to mince words. Similarly, during a recent interview with Complex News, the rapper revealed whether or not he liked Drake’s new song, “What Did I Miss?”

Without wasting a breath, Pusha gave an incredibly blunt review. “No… Just not for me,” he said.
One person who’s a fan of Pusha’s wild statements is Malice, who revealed in a Reddit AMA what he thinks about his brother’s outbursts in interviews and songs.
“I let my brother cook,” said Malice. “I’m just seeing the same person I have now my entire life, be himself.”
Elsewhere in their AMA, the two brothers revealed their favorite beats that they’ve ever rapped on. For Malice, it was “Pussy.” For Pusha, he chose, “Let the Smokers Shine the Coupes.”
