Offset is facing nearly $2 million in unpaid taxes while simultaneously asking a New Jersey court to grant him spousal support from Cardi B in their ongoing divorce.
The Georgia Department of Revenue filed a lien against the former Migos rapper for $294,000 related to his 2021 state taxes, according to documents obtained by In Touch Weekly.
That state lien adds to a $1.57 million federal tax bill from the year prior, which remains unresolved. Combined, Offset’s outstanding tax obligations total $1,866,978.73.
Adding to his financial woes, California filed a separate lien against him in June 2024 for $32,963. All three liens are solely in Offset’s name.
Cardi B is not listed on any of the filings.
The tax revelations come as Offset formally requested alimony from Cardi B in an amended divorce response filed earlier this month in Bergen County Superior Court.
The updated paperwork, first reported by TMZ, does not specify the amount of support he is seeking.
The couple’s split has been anything but quiet.
Cardi B filed for divorce in July after six years of marriage, seeking primary custody of their three children.
A representative for Cardi described the breakup as “not based on any one particular incident, it has been a long time coming and is amicable.”
However, things turned tense in December when Offset posted on social media that Cardi “look like the hoe.”
She fired back, “You sound like a dummy,” and later added, “F**k off and sign the papers TODAY.” This is the second time Cardi B has filed for divorce.
She previously initiated proceedings in 2020 but later withdrew the request after the pair reconciled. “It’s hard not to talk to your best friend,” she wrote on Instagram at the time.
