Audio Deluxe is currently offering MeldaProduction’s new MMicSim microphone simulator plugin for just $17.10 (normally $79) when you use the additional XMAS10 code at checkout.
MMicSim is a 64-bit exclusive release for macOS (VST, VST3, AU, AAX) and Windows (VST, VST3, AAX).
The introductory deal sets MMicSim’s price at $19, but after you add the plugin to your cart, apply the coupon “XMAS10” to bring it down to $17.10. I just tested the coupon, and it’s working.
The $19 intro deal is available for a limited time, though Audio Deluxe did not specify when it expires. The Christmas coupon deal expires on December 26, 2025.
The Christmas coupon deal is not exclusive to MMicSim, and you can also use it on other plugins on the Audio Deluxe store, in addition to the Christmas discounts they’re running on several plugins, which go up to 90% off.
MMicSim is designed as a software solution for converting your mic into a range of studio classics.
Users can achieve this by selecting their current mic model from the Your Mic list and then choosing their target mic from the Desired Mic list.
You’ll have no shortage of options, as at launch the plugin boasts more than 100 mics, and Melda will be expanding the database even further over time.
The mic selection includes workhorse mics as well as rare vintage mics such as the Telefunken ELA M 251 or Neumann M49b.
Every mic in the database was analysed in a pro anechoic chamber using a custom multi-dynamic sweep, to fully capture each mic’s response while isolated from room reflections.
You can run the plugin simply as a mic selector, although there are also customisation options available.
Melda has provided a Smoothness control to iron out spectral inaccuracies and acoustic resonances, as well as a Dry/Wet knob to adjust the algorithm’s intensity.
This allows you to control how much of the target mic’s character you want to bring into the mix.
MMicSim is a natural fit for vocal sessions, while Melda also notes it’s right at home on instruments, suggesting applications such as re-micing drum sessions to change the character of drums, or sculpting the tone of guitar amps with different types of mics.
It’s a great concept, although I think it’s worth investigating whether the plugin has your current mic, as while they were able to cover a lot, they can’t cover everything, of course.
There is a full-featured 15-day free trial available of MMicSim on the MeldaProductions product page if you’d like to check it out before buying.
MMicSim is a new drop from Melda, which launched the plugin on December 11, 2025.
The developer debuted the plugin as part of the MeldaPlugin version 17.07 plugin suite launch.
