Meek Mill shut down speculation linking him to Diddy and the swirling lawsuit that hinted at a sexual relationship between the two, calling the claims baseless.

The Philly native set the record straight on the rumors during a Complex interview published Thursday (July 4) and conducted (June 1).

“I’m being literally up front about it, talking about it in the open while [Diddy’s] on federal trial to make it known that I am not affiliated with Puff Daddy’s sexual life or personal life and never have been,” Meek said, addressing the rumors head-on.

The allegations stem from a lawsuit filed by Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones, who claimed that Diddy told him he had sexual encounters with an unnamed rapper described in court documents as “a Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj.”

That vague description led many online to assume Meek was the person referenced, though the lawsuit never directly named him or accused him of any illegal activity.

Meek continued, rejecting the idea he was ever involved in the type of behavior described in the lawsuit.

“When I come around from Philadelphia, I always come around with three, four people,” he explained. “I’ve never been in these types of environments without my guys around. A lot of people, they said sex parties. I attended New Year’s parties. I never attended [Diddy’s] white parties.”

He also expressed frustration over how quickly the story spread online despite the lack of evidence or direct accusations against him.

“My credibility and my morals as a man has never been questioned in reality,” Meek said. “The moment that a random goofy guy files an anonymous lawsuit… a lot of publications picked up that story in a certain way, which led to millions and millions of comments that was 20% real people, 80% bots that were funded.”

Meek Mill Questions Lack Of Support From Diddy’s Peers

Meek also took aim at what he sees as a broader agenda targeting Black artists in Hip-Hop.

“I truly believe it is a group of people aiming to tear down rappers, or Black entertainers involved in this culture through media platforms,” he said.

He questioned why more people from Diddy’s circle haven’t spoken publicly about the nature of the parties mentioned in the lawsuit.

“It’s kind of suspicious to me that none of those people from the Black community never spoke up and said those parties they went to wasn’t straight freak offs,” Meek said. “I can just say, for me, I would never step in anywhere that I see anything that doesn’t align with my morals.”

The interview was recorded before a verdict was reached in Diddy’s federal case.
