Lese has announced the release of updates for its dynamic slicer and multi-spatializer effect plugin.
Version 1.1.0 of Slice now lets users drag & drop samples from their DAW into Slice and use them instead of the incoming audio.
In these cases, Slice is no longer acting as an effect, moreso just a “sound generator”,
When Slice is set to run off of an external sample, it will also save the file path of the sample in it’s state, and re-load it when the project using Slice is turned on again. (this can be toggled on & off)
Frahm was updated to v1.2.0, offering users control of the distance gain damping of particles.
Now Frahm has a button that can turn the distance volume attenuation on & off. When the attenuation is ON, the plugin behaves the same way as before (and is set ON by default). When the attenuation is turned OFF, you can still hear the Doppler effect (if it’s turned on) and the spatial qualities are still present. In this case, it turns it into a strange sort of stereo-binaural phaser / flanger effect.
Beyond the attenuation button, Frahm now also has the ability to load in custom samples! It works the same way that Slice’s system does, but the sample has to be dragged onto the particle visualizer (or you can manually load in a sample by clicking on the logo menu)
The updates are free to existing users, and new customers can purchase Slice, Frahm, and other Lese plugins at a 50% discount as part of Plugin Boutique’s exclusive Summer Sale through August 31st, 2025.
