Right now, you can get Ujam UFX Reverb Version 2 for just $5, down from $49, in an 89% off deal at Plugin Boutique.
The deal, which is part of Plugin Boutique’s Black Friday sale, expires on December 7, 2025.
UFX Reverb is a macOS (Catalina 10.15+) and Windows (10+) release for VST2, VST3, AU 2, and AAX.
Ujam dropped UFX Reverb Version 2 on December 5, 2024. It came hot on the heels of the Version 1 release of the plugin, which came on July 26, 2023.
UFX Reverb Version 2 features 20 verb models.
The original release offered 10 verbs, which are: Old: Basic, Room, Hall, Plate, Spring, Digital, 80s, Warm, Gated, and Reverse
Version 2 includes all the original models plus 10 new models: Drum Room, Courtyard, Scoring Stage, Parking Garage, Vocal Ice, Gigathedral, Gated Freeze, Shimmer, Fat Shimmer, and Long Reverse.
The main features of UFX Reverb are Ducking, Freeze, Multimode Filter, Finishers, and Surprise.
Ducking ducks the attack of the verb, which is handy for adding clarity and cutting mush in the mix.
Freeze, as you might expect, freezes the state of the verb, creating possibilities for creating ambience, static, and getting creative with resampling.
The MultiMode Filter allows you to tweak the verb character using a range of filter shapes, like lowpass, highpass, comb, and megaphone.
Finishers add effects chains which can be modded quickly, covering territory such as gate, delay, modulation, as well as “cinematic and sequenced soundscapes”.
Surprise uses smart randomization to create new verb presets on the fly, ranging from subtle tweaks to wild new creations.
The Version 2 release added 15 new Filters, 40 new Finishers, and 100 new presets, as well as “upgrades” to all existing presets.
There’s also a new Dual mode for quickly getting fuller, denser verbs, and Early Reflections, adding improved spatial definition.
Ujam based the Version 2 changes on feedback from users.
I’d say this verb is for producers who want to get a lot of sonic possibilities from a plugin without having to do extensive knob twiddling and manually setting up effects chains and such.
All the different modules in the plugin keep it simple, and are set up to allow you to get your desired sounds quickly and with a minimum of fuss.
On the flip side, UFX Reverb is not so great for deeper customization, as all the controls have been streamlined for faster operation.
