Massive is a virtual wavetable synth designed for powerhouse, modern bass and leads.

Let’s dive into looking at what Massive can offer first. NI dropped Massive back on October 16, 2006, stuffing it to the brim with 1300 presets.
NI designed Massive as a heavyweight synth for delivering bass and leads for electro and bass music.
To my ears, the synth’s sounds would be suitable for a lot more than that, though. I can see it being useful for any kind of modern production that requires punchy sounds with presence, such as pop, hip-hop, R&B, and EDM.
NI designed Massive with versatility and live performance in mind, integrating step sequencers, effects, and flexible modulation options.
There are also several first- and third-party preset expansions for the synth, offering additional sonic choices.
Massive has a successor available now, Massive X, which retails for $199. NI offers a crossgrade to Massive X for $149, although that’s on the NI site, not the Plugin Boutique site. I’m not sure if it’s compatible across the sites.
Now let’s have a gander at Bloom Vocal Edit Lite. This plugin is much newer, having dropped on July 30, 2024.
Bloom Vocal Edit Lite has four sample banks, 45 vocal samples, and 75 presets.
You can switch up the stock sounds with four macros, which are Glue, Fuzz, Metallic, and Width.
There are also five main effects, namely Bitcrush, Delay, Reverb, Lo-Cut, and Hi-Cut.
Bloom Vocal Edit Lite is the little bro of Bloom Vocal Edit, which is now $39, down from $59, at Plugin Boutique. The flagship version has 112 samples and 250 presets.
The full version also adds deeper editing, effects, and randomization options, as well as the ability to add your own samples.
