You can now score JMG Sound / United Plugins’ Lofinity degrader plugin for just $15 (normally $69) in a 78% off introductory deal.
JMG Sound debuted the plugin on October 14, 2025, and the intro deal expires on November 30, 2025. Lofinity is a Windows and macOS release for VST, AAX, and AU.
JMG Sound states that Lofinity is made for spicing up sterile sounds with some old-school, lo-fi magic. After all, everything was better back in the ‘80s, right?
There are a few ways you can use Lofinity, as United Plugins showed in the introductory video.
You can run the plugin as a simple one-knob degrader, where you can pick one of the lo-fi algorithms and use the big knob to choose how much you want to degrade the sound.
At lower settings, Lofinity produces more subtle, nostalgic sounds, while when run hot, you can really destroy the sound.
Note that the depth of sonic destruction available from the main knob depends on the preset and how the rest of the parameters are set.
The stock presets run all your ‘80s favs, like tape, vinyl, and “circuit-bent console” sounds.
If you tire of these, there is a randomization function where you can generate unique algorithms at the press of a button.
If you want more out of your nostalgia trip than a one-knob solution, then Lofinity has you covered with its Editor module, which has more than 100 FX Blocks to play with.
These FX Blocks are split into six sections, namely Analogue, Digital, Glitch, Texture, Colour, and Utility.
You can choose from the available pool of effects in each section to create a unique mix of effects to drive the degrader.
Each section gives you the option to combine two effects from within the section, as well as control the levels and blend. You can also route the sections in any order.
All that together offers a huge amount of customization under the hood.
I dig this kind of design, where you can easily use it as a simple one-knob solution, or really go to town with deep editing.
There has been some criticism leveled at the interface design, with critics noting that the preset buttons are quite fiddly and easy to miss when clicking, and that the graphical display at the top left doesn’t give much in the way of useful information, among other quibbles.

At the $15 sale price, for me, the above would be easy to get past, though.
If you want to try before you buy, Lofinity is available in a 15-day unrestricted trial from the United Plugins product page.
The intro deal is available at both Plugin Boutique and United Plugins.
You may want to get the deal at Plugin Boutique, though, as it is slightly lower in USD. The United Plugins store has the sale price listed at €15 or $17, depending on what you set the site currency to.
BPB is supported through affiliate links, which may earn us a commission at no extra cost to you.
