In a pair of deleted social media posts, Future has seemingly responded to recent speculation that he took back a watch he gifted to a woman after she was seen hanging out with Trippie Redd. As shown in the screenshot below, per news aggregator Kurrco, Future shared what appeared to be a rare response to online rumors about him.
“I stay out the mix still get thrown in fake news, people trying to use me for promo is goofy,” he wrote on X. “Anyone can put a name and say I text.. stop posting false shit.”
Future also popped up in DJ Akademiks‘ Instagram comments to shoot down the validity of a text message screenshot that was supposedly a conversation between him and the woman.
“This a fake text btw,” he wrote. “Insane.”
The posts come not long after a woman claimed to have been gifted a watch from Future only for him to take it back when she started hanging out with another rapper.
“Smh I hope you got that tattoo removed, embarrassing you really a good girl,” Future allegedly wrote in unverified screenshots of a text exchange with a woman—the conversation the rapper called “fake.” She responds by calling him a “narcissist,” and says he “took back my watch.”
Trippie Redd also appeared to respond to the rumors by posting a video of him listening to Future and posing with an iced-out watch in a post to his IG Stories.
Future and Trippie previously collaborated on the track “PSYCHO.”
