You can now score Future Audio Workshop’s SubLab 808-style sub-bass synth for just $10, down from $70, in an 85% off deal exclusively available at Plugin Boutique.
The deal is available until March 15, 2026.
SubLab is a macOS and Windows release for VST2, VST3, AU, and AAX. The synth is NKS-ready for Native Instruments’ Maschine and Komplete Kontrol.
Plugin Boutique is currently running a March giveaway that allows you to pick one of the following freebies if you make any paid purchase on the site: Zak Sound’s Deep Waters verb or Diginoiz’s Distiller distortion/filter plugin.
Future Audio Workshop describes SubLab as the hardest-hitting sub-bass. It’s aimed at hip hop, future bass, and trap.
The virtual instrument is made to deliver powerhouse 808-style punchy sub-bass tones.
SubLab includes everything needed to sample, layer, distort, and widen any kick into a powerful sub within a single workflow.
The analog-style synth engine has sine, triangle, sawtooth, and square waveforms.
Future Audio Workshop also packed in six signature bass packs and 250 kick samples.
The bass packs feature maximised, compressed 808s that are track-ready.
Future Audio Workshop sampled the 250 kick samples from hardware drum machines. The selection includes 808s, kick drums, and kick transients.

While working with the samples, you can create delayed 808s with a delayed sample start, expand and distort with the maximiser, use loop mode to sustain samples, and sculpt the sound with the low and high cut filters.
The samples were collected from 15+ drum machines across various eras, such as the Roland TR-808, Roland TR-707, Dave Smith Tempest, Korg Volca Beats, Jomox MBase 11, and more.
SubLab also includes drag and drop functionality to work with your own samples in the sampler.
The plugin automatically detects the pitch of your samples to provide a rapid workflow.
SubLab also includes the psychoacoustic sub-bass oscillator X-Sub, which is exclusively available in SubLab.

This oscillator works as a sub-bass maximizer to help producers create deep, accurate, and consistent subs that sound phat on any speaker system.
You can sculpt the sound further with the following modules: Distortion, Compressor, Filter, Meter / Master. The latter is divided into three frequency bands and includes a master maximiser for expansion and fattening.
Future Audio Workshop launched SubLab in June 2019.
The dev subsequently dropped SubLab XL in July 2022. The XL release packs in more FX, features, modulation, macros, and new sounds.
That is why I believe if you want to get as many options as possible, you may want to get the SubLab XL release instead.
The good news is that SubLab XL is also on sale at Plugin Boutique. It’s currently available for $25, down from $80, in a 68% off deal. This deal also expires on March 15, 2026.
