Freddie Gibbs doesn’t appear to be ready to move on from his beef with Gunna, which has been going on for at least five years.
During the first verse of new track “Lavish Habits,” taken from Gibbs’ new album Alfredo 2, he takes aim at the Atlanta rapper once again and directly references him taking a plea deal in the YSL RICO case, which has also seemingly affected his relationship with former close collaborator Young Thug.
“I’m still gon’ squeeze Akademiks titties, that fat bastard,” he raps, reigniting his issues with DJ Akademiks, too. “Gunna dissed me and took a plea, he a rat bastard/Show up at your funeral, big Fendi bitch, 10 Blickies.”
Gunna has repeatedly claimed he didn’t cooperate with authorities during the YSL RICO trial by accepting an Alford plea.
“An Alford plea in my case is the entry of a guilty plea to the one charge against me, which is in my best interest, while at the same time maintaining my innocence toward the same charge,” said Gunna when he accepted the deal.

“I love and cherish my association with YSL music, and always will. I look at this as an opportunity to give back to my community and educate young men and women that ‘gangs’ and violence only lead to destruction.”
Despite this, Gunna has repeatedly been hit with accusations that he’s a snitch. In fact, Gibbs has been referring to him as such since 2020. When a clip of Gunna appearing on Crime Stoppers resurfaced online, which resulted in him clarifying the clip on The Breakfast Club, Gibbs tweeted, “If u was on crime stoppers TV u a snitch ain’t no way around it.”
In 2022, Gunna fired back by dissing Gibbs on “Poochie Gown.” The two continued to take shots at each other on social media. “I hate to say I told u so,” Gibbs tweeted after Gunna accepted his Alford plea.
