Dystopian Waves has introduced a new granular Max for Live instrument designed for deep sonic exploration.
From lush cinematic textures to abstract experimental layers, Celium offers a highly flexible grain engine with precise control over every detail of your sound.
Celium features dual-buffer operation (Live & Freeze modes, each with two sources), crossfading between sources, and inter-grain crossfade (grains can start in source 1 and end in source 2). It offers grain probability controls, per-grain effects including 4 types of distortion, filter with randomization, ring modulation, panning, and per grain life, time-stretching.
The pitch section includes pitch shifting and spreading (up to ±12 semitones), spread direction, and quantization to major and minor scales. Pitch modulation options include vibrato, bend, jitter, and envelope shaping. A zoomable parameter interface, making Celium ideal for crafting evolving textures and complex granular atmospheres.
Celium for Ableton Live is on sale for the intro price of $20 USD until August 31st, 2025 (regular $30 USD).
