Dynaudio has announced the release of firmware update for its acclaimed Core reference series. Version 1.1 introduces a subtle yet impactful lift in the low-frequency range. Specifically, it gives a slight boost around the port tuning and baffle step, resulting in improved depth, clarity, and precision for critical listening environments.
Firmware version 1.1 is available for the Dynaudio Core products, including Core 7, Core 47, Core 59 and Core Sub.
This update also ensures better alignment with Dynaudio’s latest models – Core 5 and Core Sub Compact. To maintain consistent level balance and performance across multi-speaker setups, Dynaudio recommends that all mentioned Core models in a system be updated to the latest firmware.
Users can update by downloading the Dynaudio Update Tool, along with firmware versions 1.1 and 1.0. Scroll to the bottom of any Core product page, select Update Tool and Firmware, or visit the direct link.
Firmware 1.1 includes updated gain structures not reflected in the existing SPL switch values on the rear panel. Dynaudio is offering free rear panel stickers that clearly indicate the revised input sensitivity.
These stickers help users easily identify units running firmware 1.1 and maintain proper gain staging across systems. Stickers can be ordered free of charge here: Dynaudio Core series firmware sticker.
